PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile installation method which eliminates the necessity of maintenance work against breakdown of an earth retainer and the like and maintenance work against subsidence of a road surface of a covering plate, and which can prevent noises and vibration from being generated by the covering plate. SOLUTION: A pile installation method, for installing a plurality of piles by performing an excavation step for forming a bore hole 201 while supplying a stabilizing liquid and an installation step for forming a pile by pouring concrete into the bore hole 201, includes: performing a trench digging step for digging a trench and forming a sump 30 and a burial step for backfilling the trench after installing a measure member 10 at a pile installation position and connecting a hollow part Msp with the sump 30 by a discharge pipe 20, before performing the excavation step; independently performing the excavation step and the pile installation step for each pile; performing a measure member dig-out step for digging out the measure member 10 until a lid member 13 is exposed and an opening step for providing an opening 13a for excavation in the lid member 13 before performing the excavation step; and excavating through the opening 13a of the lid member 13 in the excavation step.
