<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical heat exchanger having a drain hole provided in a structure for preventing or suppressing a bypass flow, and capable of closing or opening the drain hole even if a temperature of a body-side fluid does not change or temperature change is small around the drain hole.SOLUTION: A vertical heat exchanger comprises: an inner casing 2 accommodating therein heat transfer tubes; an outer casing 1 accommodating therein the inner casing 2 and fixing an upper portion of the inner casing 2; a first flange 7 provided on the outer casing 1; a second flange 6 mounted on the first flange 7; a third flange 4 provided in the inner casing 2 and located above the second flange 6; a closing plug 5 provided below the third flange 4 and located above the second flange 6; and an extensible seal member 3 connecting the second flange 6 to the third flange 4. A drain hole 8 is formed in the first flange 7 and the second flange 6 to penetrate the first flange 7 and the second flange 6. The closing plug 5 is located above the drain hole 8 so as to be insertable into the drain hole 8.</p> |
