PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety antiviral agent with a high antiviral activity, while promoting more use of an apricot vinegar caused as by-products when producing apricot processed foods, and to provide pharmaceutical preparations, quasi drugs, cosmetics, foods, food additives, and feeds with a high antiviral activity.SOLUTION: The antiviral agent of this invention contains an apricot vinegar polyphenol prepared from apricot vinegar, an apricot vinegar polyphenol hydrolysate obtained by hydrolyzing the apricot vinegar polyphenol, and an apricot vinegar polyphenol aglycone which is a composition component of the apricot vinegar polyphenol hydrolysate, having a high antiviral activity and safety. And, the pharmaceutical preparations, the quasi drugs, the cosmetics, the foods, the food additives, and the feeds of this invention comprise the antiviral agent of this invention. |
