Provided are a data channel coding method and a device thereof. The size of a data transfer block is selected among a plurality of transfer block size options. Each of the transfer bock size values is determined in advance to make the sum of the size of a CRC code attached on the transfer block and the size of the corresponding transfer block to be equivalent to one among the internal interleaver block size values of a turbo encoder encoding the transfer block with the CRC code. The present invention can prevent a dummy bit from being inserted during a channel coding process.
