Method for producing a zinc sulphate solution, using zinc obtained from steelworks' dust, and respective fertilizer inputs. The present invention relates to a method for recovering zinc from steelworks' dust waste, producing a zinc sulphate solution with a concentration of above 12%, which can be used as a fertilizer. The method consists of treating the steelworks' dust with sulphuric acid solution at a temperature of 65°C, maintaining the pH of the solution below that of the saturation point of zinc sulphate. The mixture is filtered, and the filtrate is a zinc sulphate solution with a concentration of above 12%, which is conducted to a final product storage tank. The wet solid waste, which is low in zinc, is conducted to a second reactor containing water, and after stirring for 8 to 12 minutes the mixture is filtered and the filtrate is added to the final product, as long as the Zn concentration is not diluted to below 12%, or used for preparing fresh sulphuric acid solution. |
