PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech speed adjusting device and a program capable of equalizing speech speed of whole synthesized speech data by performing speech speed conversion once on the synthesized speech data that is synthesized from a plurality of speech databases and conforming time length of the whole synthesized speech data to program broadcast time.SOLUTION: The speech speed adjusting device includes: speech speed average value calculation means 11 for calculating an average value of speech speed of synthesized speech data that is synthesized from a plurality of speech databases for each speech database that is a generating source of the synthesized speech data, on the basis of an identification number j; time length cumulative value calculation means 12 for calculating a cumulative value of time length of the synthesized speech data for each speech database that is a generating source of the synthesized speech data; extension magnification calculation means 14 for calculating an extension magnification of time length of the synthesized speech data for each speech database that is a generating source of the synthesized speech data, on the basis of the average value, the cumulative value, and the program broadcast time; and speech speed conversion means 15 for converting speech speed of the synthesized speech data with the magnification. |
