A bird feeding device comprises a tray like device 7 having a base and four upstanding sides. The tray is prefilled with one or more varieties of birdseed 9. The tray may be made from a waterproof material or have a waterproof covering. The tray may be made from paper, card or an edible material. The tray and the ingredients are contained within an outer thin film envelope 8, the envelope having a pre-weakened or perforated opening on an upper face 12. The opening is suitable to allow waste cooking oil, fats, gel (or the like) to be poured therein and to flow and surround the bird seed binding it together, the contents are held within the tray. The tray and contents may be heated in an oven and or cooled to allow the contents to solidify. |
