The present invention relates to an electronic device, which outputs an image, in which the continuous movement of an object (subject) is synthesized on one background. According to various embodiments of the present invention, an electronic device includes a display and a processor. The processor is configured to output a first composite image representing a state of an object (subject), to output preview information for the object used in the first composite image, to select at least one object from the first composite image in response to an input, to detect the input and edit an original image corresponding to at least one selected object, and to generate and output a second composite image based on the at least one object in the edited original image.
