Preparing a polyether ester-polyol comprises reacting a mixture (A) of at least one Zerewitinoff-active compound, at least one compound consisting of cyclic anhydrides of dicarboxylic acids, at least one fatty acid compound and/or its ester and optionally at least one compound (I) consisting of cyclic mono-and diesters, with at least one alkylene oxide using a nucleophilic and/or basic catalyst. An independent claim is included for the polyether ester-polyol obtained by the above process.
