PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel strip connecting device that can connect a preceding steel strip sent earlier with a succeeding steel strip sent next by an extremely simple structure.SOLUTION: A steel strip connecting device 1 connects a distal end 811 of a preceding steel strip 81 with a tip part 821 of a succeeding steel strip 82. The steel strip connecting device 1 has punching means 2 for simultaneously forming a raised part 84 to both of the distal end 811 and the tip part 821 at a portion 83 where the distal end 811 is overlapped on the tip part 821, which has a connection base part 843 connected with each steel strip 8 on one side in the feeding direction and a punching head 841 punched from each steel strip 8 on the other side in the feeding direction. The steel strip connecting device 1 includes drawing means 3 for hooking the preceding steel strip 81 and the succeeding steel strip 82 by pulling the preceding steel strip 81 and the succeeding steel strip 82 to the reverse direction each other.
