PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus capable of generating X-ray image data in which capillary vessels are selectively depicted.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus includes a blood vessel image generation unit and a capillary vessel image generation unit. The blood vessel image generation unit generates blood vessel image data having pixel values corresponding to time up to the maximum value of signal variation or the number of frames, in time-series angiographic image data of a plurality of frames or digital subtraction angiography image data. The capillary vessel image generation unit generates capillary vessel image data in which the capillary vessels are selectively depicted as image data having pixel values in response to a peak by data processing containing detection of the peak of the signal variation corresponding to the capillary vessels.
