摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which enables optimal focus detection in the whole imaging surface and enables a user to always observe an object at an optimal light quantity through an optical finder.SOLUTION: A camera 100 includes a main mirror 107 capable of reflecting/transmitting a luminous flux made incident through a focus lens 103, an optical finder part 104 configured so that the object can be observed by using the luminous flux reflected from the main mirror, an imaging element 105 photoelectrically converting a part of the luminous flux transmitted through the main mirror, to output an image signal, a sub-mirror 108 reflecting a part of the luminous flux transmitted through the main mirror, a focus detection part 109 detecting a focus state by using the luminous flux reflected from the sub-mirror, and a focus detection part detecting the focus state, based on the image signal outputted by the imaging element 105. A control part provided in the camera variably controls the transmissivity of the luminous flux by the main mirror, according to a selected area to be detected being in the focus state.</p>
