<p>A thermoelectric conversion element comprising: a substrate; a laminate formed on the substrate, wherein Sr- and Ti-containing first perovskite dielectric films having a first band gap, and Sr- and Ti-containing second perovskite dielectric films having a second band gap which is smaller than the first band gap are alternately laminated; a first electrode which is formed electrically connected to the lower end of the laminate; and a second electrode which is formed electrically connected to the upper end of the laminate. The first and the second perovskite dielectric films are both doped so as to be electrically conductive. The first and the second perovskite dielectric films have compositions which produce a maximum band offset of 0.54 eV between the respective conduction bands. By exposing the upper end of the laminate to a first temperature, and exposing the lower end of the laminate to a second temperature, an electromotive force is produced between the upper end, and the lower end of the laminate.</p> |
