PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable multicolor printing using more colors on the basis of data for printing with a plain color or fewer colors.SOLUTION: A printer control unit 15 comprises: a condition setting unit 15b; a print data acquisition unit 15c; a print data processing unit 15d; and a print control unit 15e. If a setting command for setting a pattern relating to a combination of a plurality of print positions and processing on a print element printed at each print position in a corresponding fashion is input to the condition setting unit 15b, the condition setting unit 15b sets the pattern and the processing on each print element in accordance with the setting command. The print data acquisition unit 15c acquires a command for designating data indicating each print element and each print position. The print data processing unit 15d performs processing including processing for determining an attribute relating to printing of each print element or processing for replacing the print element with another print element if the print positions of a plurality of print elements designated by a plurality of acquired commands correspond to the pattern.
