The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a lithium manganese composite oxide with excellent high temperature stability and high power as a positive electrode active material. The manufacturing method manufactures a lithium manganese composite oxide of chemical formula 1 by sintering lithium supplying precursors and manganese supplying precursors at a temperature of 700-900°C after mixing the lithium supplying precursors and manganese supplying precursors and is characterized by mixing MnO_2 and Mn_3O_4 as the manganese supplying precursors at a ratio of 9:1-1:9.
