<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow appropriate measurement of a distance to an object within a monitoring area by utilizing a laser beam.SOLUTION: Light-shielding walls 42 and 44 and a light shielding bottom 43 for shielding light projected to the outside of a monitoring area out of light projected from a light projection unit which projects light comprising a laser beam to the monitoring area. Light-shielding walls 45 and 47 and a light shielding bottom 46 for shielding light incident from areas other than the monitoring area are provided for a light receiving unit which receives light reflected by an object existing in the monitoring area, out of the projected light. As a result, the projected light is projected to only the monitoring area, and the received light is light reflected from only the monitoring area, whereby a distance to the object can be accurately measured on the basis of a timing of light projection and a timing of light reception. This technique is applicable to a laser radar device.</p> |
