<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can suppress degradation in printing quality caused by power loss on an FFC that connects a control board and a print head board.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 40 for dispensing ink droplets from a nozzle by charge and discharge and a print head substrate 22 where a plurality of drivers 30 and an auxiliary power supply part 50 are placed are installed on a carriage. A control board 12 provided with a control signal supply part 140 generating a control signal COM is installed outside the carriage. In an FFC 70, a plurality of pieces of wiring including control wiring 724 that transmits the control signal COM from the control board 12 to the print head board 22 are formed. A total path length L1 of the plurality of pieces of wiring is shorter than a total path length L2 of the respective wiring 52 between the print head board 22 and the piezoelectric element 40. The respective drivers 30 perform operation for supplying the piezoelectric element 40 with charge in accordance with the control signal COM from the auxiliary power supply part 50 and operation for discharging the auxiliary power supply part 50 from the piezoelectric element 40.</p> |
