PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing, in a high selectivity, compounds including triple bonds and/or dienes.SOLUTION: The provided manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing a compound including acetylenic bonds and/or diene wherein at least one type selected from the group consisting of ketone compounds (I) and ketone compounds (II) is dehydrated in the presence of a catalyst including at least one type selected from the group consisting of compounds including group 1 metal elements and silicon and compounds including group 2 metal elements and silicon.
