The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing an extract of crape myrtle as an active ingredient. The cosmetic composition includes 0.001-30.0 weight% of an extract of crape myrtle as an active ingredient with respect to total weight of the composition. According to the present invention, the extract of crape myrtle has effects of anti-oxidation, MMP-1 generation inhibition, collagen biosynthesis, melanogenesis inhibition, antiseptic properties, and moisturizing, and thus can be provided as a functional cosmetic material. |
