PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow application of a recognition method allowing variation in a time series direction of DP matching or the like even when using features including global features.SOLUTION: A feature extraction unit 22 extracts a plurality of learning features defined by a value between two times, from each of pieces of learning data of time series data, and a feature selection unit 24 selects a plurality of learning features from the plurality of extracted learning features so as to maintain consistency of time series and stores a selected feature string as a string of the selected learning features and a class to which the learning data belongs, in a selected feature string storage unit 30 in association with each other. A feature extraction unit 42 extracts a plurality of object features from recognition object data, and a recognition processing unit 44 uses the selected feature string and the object features to recognize an object which the recognition object data represents, by recognition processing allowing variation in the time series direction.
