PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that since a nuclear reactor using conventional uranium 235 as fuel has problems, such as radioactive waste, meltdown and peak uranium of the fuel itself, and a long-term supply capacity of the fuel is reduced, desired is invention of a new green nuclear reactor by an abundant and non-localized raw material and inexpensive and safer technical innovation.SOLUTION: A table top accelerator being an apparatus having a small size and a reasonable price provides a new method capable of burning degraded uranium hardly burned and widely stocked in large quantity or thorium having reserves several times larger than those of uranium and hardly burned by the same nuclear fission as wastes, by freely stably controlling fast neutrons formed by irradiating a target with complex particle beams of leptons and hadrons. |
