PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic base paper connection device for automatically joining a new tape with an old tape without stopping supply of the old tape in which a joint tape can be bonded to on both of front and rear surfaces of the joint portion.SOLUTION: An automatic base paper connection device 1 comprises a drawer device for a tape, a turret 2, a tape residence mechanism 3, and a tape coupling mechanism 4. The tape coupling mechanism 4 can set a second joint sheet n2 at a downstream setting part 42, can set a tip of a new tape t2 and a first joint sheet n1 at an upstream setting part 41. At a first connection 43, the upstream setting part 41 is pressed onto one of the front and the rear surfaces of an old tape t1 and the new tape t2 so that both the tapes t1, t2 are joined with each other by the first joint sheet n1, and at a second connection 44, the downstream setting part 42 is pressed onto the other of the front and the rear surfaces of the old tape t1 and the new tape t2 so that both the tapes t1, t2 are joined with each other by the second joint sheet n2. |
