SOFT MAGNETIC METAL POWDER, AND POWDER-COMPACT MAGNETIC CORE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder-compact magnetic core which is used for a magnetic part for high frequencies, and which has adequate magnetic permeability and corrosion resistance, and enables the reduction in core loss even in an operation frequency band on a higher frequency side of several hundred kHz or higher; and soft magnetic metal powder suitable for the manufacture of such powder-compact magnetic core.SOLUTION: Soft magnetic metal powder comprises 0.5-10.0 mass% of Si, 1.5-8.0 mass% of Cr and 0.05-3.0 mass% of Sn with the balance consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities. A powder-compact magnetic core is arranged by press-compacting such powder.
