PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for wireless transmission which uses two or more pulse shaping filters.SOLUTION: A WTRU (Wireless Transmit/Receive Unit) and a network entity have the capability to use a narrow band pulse shaping filter or a broadband pulse shaping filter, or the both. The network entity and/or WTRU select(s) a pulse shaping filter to be used, and transmit(s) the selected one with a signal system. The signal system can be performed through a message of the layer 2/3 or using a NAS (Non-Access Stratum) signal system message.
