A gift recommendation request identifying a gift recipient is received. In response to receiving the request, coincident user data describing an activity of the gift recipient is accessed from at least one social network. At least one gift recommendation is determined based in part on the coincident user data.

a processor of a machine;a request module to receive a gift recommendation request identifying a gift recipient;
a data retrieval module to access coincident user data of the gift recipient from at least one social network, the coincident data describing an activity of the gift recipient and being collected as the activity is occurring; and a determination module to determine, using the processor of the machine, at least one gift recommendation based in part on the coincident user data.
