<p>The device (10) has thermal energy accumulators (12, 14), each comprising thermal energy storage boxes (20). Each box has an insulating enclosure containing earth crossed by coolant circulation pipes. A thermal energy production device (16) supplies thermal energy to coolant connected to the accumulators by a first coolant distribution circuit (22). The device and accumulators form a thermal energy storage device. The circuit circulates the coolant in one of the pipes of each box of one of the accumulators or in the pipe of each box of another accumulator in a selective manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a thermal energy storing device.</p> |
