PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect surface information with a parallel relationship to a surface of a sheet material while keeping a certain distance relationship even in a case of a sheet material having a different thickness and stiffness.SOLUTION: A sheet material identification device includes: a sheet material loading device for loading a sheet material; detection means for outputting information obtained from a surface of the sheet material by being brought into contact with a sheet material of a bottom layer from an undersurface of the sheet material loading device; and close contact means for bringing the sheet material into close contact with the detection means by being brought into contact with the sheet material of the bottom layer adjacent to the detection means from the undersurface of the sheet material loading device to stretch deflection due to contact with the detection means in a horizontal direction. |
