<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve fluid power generation by a flow of a fluid passing through a turbine.SOLUTION: A substantially spherical turbine configured to rotate in a cylindrical pipe in a crossing shaft manner through action of a fluid flowing therethrough to both directions is coupled to a rotary machine, i.e. a dynamo in an interlocking operation state so as to generate electric power. In an embodiment, the blades of the spherical turbine are curved within a substantially 180-degree arc in a plane inclined to the axis of rotation of a center shaft. In another embodiment, a deflector is provided in a cylindrical pipe upstream from the spherical turbine so as to control a flow passing through the spherical turbine by shielding a part thereof. The blades of the spherical turbine are sectioned in an airfoil shape so as to optimize a hydrodynamic flow, to minimize cavitation, and to maximize transduction into rotary energy from an axial direction.</p> |
