The present invention relates to a grass mower, which includes a roller wound with a wire like a piano wire, cuts grass with the wire, and automatically extends the length of the wire when the wire is worn out. The grass mower according to the present invention comprises a cover member combined to a driving shaft so as to be integrally rotated with the driving shaft; a housing coupled to the lower part of the cover member, having an inner space and an open bottom; a winding roll member combined within the housing to be vertically lifted and lowered, and having a wound wire to cut weeds; a first uneven part formed in the housing; a second uneven part formed in the winding roll member so that the housing and the winding roll member rotate as one body in gear with the first uneven part when the winding roll member descends; and an elastic support unit elastically supporting the winding roll member downward so that the first uneven part and the second uneven part are mutually interlocked by having one end supported by the cover member and the other end supported by the winding roll member, wherein the wire wound on the winding roll member is exposed to the outside of the housing at a fixed length via the through-hole formed to penetrate through the outer and inner circumferences of the housing, and wound to have a torque rotating the winding roll member in the releasing direction from the winding roll member when the external force is not applied. |
