A tool or gauge (100) for measuring one or more dimensions of an article, such as a pipe (6) is disclosed. The tool has a substantially hollow body (1) with a tapered profile that forms a relatively large open end and a relatively small end. The body can receive the pipe through the open end to measure an outside diameter. A pipe can receive the relatively small end of the body to measure an inner diameter. At least one indicium (3biii) formed along the body and configured to provide a guide in association with the tapered profile to enable the measurement. The indicium may indicate a range of sizes and also may indicate dimensions for different types of pipe. |
