WARP KNITTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: To provide a warp knitting machine hardly suffering a danger of collision between a needle and other knitting means. CONSTITUTION: This warp knitting machine has at least one guide bar 1 and one main shaft 7. The angular position of the main shaft is determined by a position absolute value detector 9 and the position of the guide bar is determined by a position absolute value detector 4. Both the detectors 9 and 4 provide different signal values for each angular position of the main shaft and for each guide bar position. The continuous lapping action function V clearly provides an appropriate lapping value Xs corresponding to a signal valueϕof each angular position. A position controller 6 controls a servomotor 2 for the lapping action of the guide 1. In this way, the danger of collision between elements of the guide bars and other working parts of the machine are practically totally avoided.
