The present invention relates to a battery cell with a battery case having an electrode assembly including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separation membrane inserted between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The electrode assembly has an adjusting unit, whose width of one cross section consecutively decreases or not in a vertical cross section based on the position of an electrode terminal, on at least some outer circumference; the battery case is made from metal substrates and includes at least two case members mutually connected to each other while having the electrode assembly; and a cabinet with an inner shape corresponding to the adjusting unit of the electrode assembly is formed on at least one among the case members.
