PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable type image projection apparatus capable of projecting an image proper to an arbitrary projection surface regardless of a projection direction and the irregularities of the projecting surface.SOLUTION: Image projecting means 81 projects an image on the projecting surface. Projected-image photographing means 82 photographs a projected image being the image displayed on the projection surface when the image projecting means 81 projects the image on the projection surface. Correction information generating means 83 generates correction information for correcting an image to be projected on the basis of a mode difference between the image projected by the image projecting means 81 and the projected image photographed by the projecting-image photographing means 82. Converted image generating means 84 generates a converted image by converting the image to be projected, on the basis of the correction information. The correction information generating means 83 generates the correction information on the basis of a mode difference from the image generated in the projected image depending on the direction of projecting the image by the image projecting means 81 or the mode of the projection surface. The image projecting means 81 projects the converted image on the projecting surface. |
