The present invention does not concern a finger being trapped even though an operator or a worker lifts up a device to open and close each manuscript pressing plate with a different hand when performing an attachment and detachment work of the manuscript pressing plates. In order to provide a simple structure, the device to open and close a manuscript pressing plate comprises: a mounting part; a cam part installed on the upper part of the mounting part; a support member which mounts a plate to connect both parts as a rotating member by having a spring accommodating part, and inserting a hinge pin into the cam part; a cam slider installed in the spring accommodating part in order to be able to slide; and an elastic means elastically installed inside the spring accommodating part in order to press the cam slider towards the cam part. The present invention has a guide pin installed to make the plate connect both parts corresponding to a guide ditch by installing the guide ditch in the cam part while eliminating a contact part which limits the rotation of the support member by being mutually in contact in each rear part of the mounting part and the support member when the original pressing plate is completely opened. |
