A power conditioning system for a renewable energy source according to the present invention includes a voltage convertor which increases the voltage of power transmitted from a renewable energy source; an energy storage device which is combined with an output terminal of the voltage convertor; a bidirectional convertor which is combined with the output terminal of the energy storage device, a DC link which is combined with the output terminal of the bidirectional convertor; and an inverter combined with the DC link. The bidirectional convertor increases the voltage of power stored in the energy storage device and then transmits it to the DC link, or drops a voltage applied to the DC link and then transmits it to the energy storage device.
