PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which provides excellent optical performance while having a large angle of view, large aperture ratio, and high zoom ratio.SOLUTION: A zoom lens ZL includes a first lens group G1 having negative refractive power, a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power arranged in this order from the object side along the optical axis. When varying power from a wide angle end state to a telephoto end state, at least the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 are moved along the optical axis so that the distance between the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 decreases, and the distance between the second lens group G2 and the third lens group G3 increases. A variable aperture stop S1 for determining an F-number is arranged near the second lens group G2 on the object side thereof. The first lens group G1 has one positive lens, and the second lens group G2 has one negative lens. |
