<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that comprises a rolling bearing for rotatably and pivotally supporting a steering shaft, is suitable for a steering device in which an upper column and a lower column are slidably fitted in an axial direction, and has improved steering stability of a steering wheel in high-speed driving.SOLUTION: As a band 421 is tighten to reduce a diameter of a sliding bearing part 42 and to provide friction between a tapered groove 322 of a lower steering shaft 32 and a sliding bearing 422, a rotational torque of the lower steering shaft 32 and an upper steering shaft 31 gradually increases. When the rotational torque of the lower steering shaft 32 and the upper steering shaft 31 reaches a predetermined magnitude, tightening of the band is stopped.</p> |
