PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor which does not increase the use amount of a magnet even if the total length of a moving distance is long, and enabling high-speed action with low power by reducing a hysteresis loss.SOLUTION: In a linear motor, a mover 1 is alternately arranged with a plurality of magnets 1d, 1e and armature cores 1b, 1c in a moving direction in the inside of a coil 1a. The magnets adjacent through the armature cores 1b, 1c are magnetized in directions opposite to each other. The armature cores 1b 1c have rectangular plate shapes, and have projecting portion whose width decreases toward end portion sides at one ends. The adjacent two armature cores 1b, 1c have plate surfaces parallel with each other, and are aligned so as to oppose an end portion of at least one projecting portion to the other plate surface, and oppose an end portion of at least the other projecting portion to one plate surface. A opposite parts of the adjacent armature cores 1b, 1c are coupled through the adjacent magnets. |
