The method involves lowering the power of the photovoltaic generator (3) that is fed into the supply network (7) during a previously forecasted, expected weather-related power reduction of the photovoltaic generator before the power reduction is effective in the photovoltaic generator. The reduction of the power of the photovoltaic generator or the power fed into the supply network from an inverter (5) takes place towards a target value.
