<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of switching between a normal mode of controlling power consumption to given power and a power-saving mode of reducing the power consumption.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: a power consumption control part 13 performing the normal mode and the power-saving mode; a sheet discharge part 81; a sheet processing part 4 for applying a processing to a sheet and discharging the sheet to the sheet discharge part 81; a sheet detection part 72 for detecting a sheet discharged to the sheet discharge part 81; a person detection part 71 for detecting whether a person exists within a given distance; and a switchover control part 14 for switching over to the normal mode if the existence of a person is detected and the sheet is not detected by the sheet detection part 72 during the power-saving mode, and maintaining the power-saving mode if the existence of a person is detected and a sheet is detected by the sheet detection part 72, and if a sheet is no longer detected by the sheet detection part 72 between a time when the person is detected and a time when an assumed recovery period has elapsed.</p> |
