The claimed engine design is meant for use in piston-type internal combustion engines. The engine contains a cylinder (1) having therein a piston (2) linked to a connecting rod (3). A crankshaft (4) is installed in a crankcase (5) and can rotate within supports (6). A nozzle (7) is provided in the head of the cylinder (1), said nozzle having an outlet into a combustion chamber (8) having a volume equal to 0.03 of the engine capacity. The combustion chamber (8) is provided in the crown of the piston (2). A first oval gear (9) is rigidly affixed to the crankshaft (4) and is capable of interacting with a second oval gear (10), which is rigidly affixed to an additional shaft (11). The shaft (11) is installed within rotation supports and can rotate conjointly with the gear (10). An increase in the efficiency of engine operation resulting from a more complete combustion of fuel is achieved by means of the engine having a combustion chamber with a volume which is equal to 0.016-0.045 of the capacity of the engine.
