PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and precisely fit a valve cotter into a clearance formed of a valve stem and a retainer.SOLUTION: This valve cotter fit-in system 10 comprises: a holding device 42 for fixing and holding a cylinder head 12; an insertion cylinder 74 for inserting the retainer 16 into a valve spring 32 in the compression direction in a state that the valve cotter 18 is not arranged in a hole 16a of the retainer 16; and a supply part 76 for supplying a first member 38 and a second member 40 to the clearance 36 formed of the valve stem 14 and the hole 16a of the retainer 16 so as to intrude into the clearance from a side opposite to the valve spring 32 in a state that the valve spring 32 is compressed.
