A liquid crystal display (LCD) device comprising: a panel comprising a plurality of pixels that are respectively formed in a plurality of areas defined by intersections between a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines; a data driver configured to output a data voltage to a corresponding data line; a gate driver configured to sequentially output a scan signal to the plurality of gate lines; a common electrode formed at the panel in correspondence with each of the pixels; a common voltage generator configured to generate a common voltage to be supplied to the common electrode; a timing controller configured to, when the data voltage to be outputted to the data line has a positive polarity with respect to the common voltage, output a first selection signal and, when the data voltage has a negative polarity with respect to the common voltage, output a second selection signal; and a selector configured to output a correction common voltage corresponding to a negative liquid crystal driving voltage or the common voltage, transferred from the common voltage generator, to the common electrode by using the scan signal, the first selection signal, or the second selection signal.
