<p>The present disclosure relates to an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program, whereby, in an image, it is possible to partially implement an appropriate brush touch control. A vector direction detection unit carries out a detection of a flow vector direction from an inputted image, and generates a vector direction map with respect to each pixel. A modulation map computation unit detects prescribed regions, such as faces or skin, from the inputted image, and generates a modulation map which is location information of each pixel of the detected prescribed regions. Employing the vector direction map from the vector direction detection unit and the modulation map from the modulation map computation unit, a deformation characteristic computation unit computes a deformation characteristic which deforms a tap shape which corresponds to each pixel of a filter which is employed by a painted-style conversion unit. It would be possible, as an example, to apply the present disclosure to an image processing device which converts an inputted image to a painted-style image.</p> |
