PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element capable of improving extraction efficiency of light, and a method for manufacturing the element.SOLUTION: A part of the transparent conductive film corresponding to a second region 20B of the patterning member is rendered into a peroxide state due to implantation of oxygen ions and is converted into in an insulating part 12B having no conductivity. On the other hand, as a resist 20 remains in a first region 20A of the patterning member, the transparent conductive film 12 is covered with the resist 20, and thereby, this part is patterned as a conductive part 12A, into a pattern corresponding to the first region 20A of the resist 20. Thus, the transparent conductive film 12 is electrically patterned. However, as the conductive part 12A and the insulating part 12B are formed of the optically identical material, the transparent conductive film can be rendered into a state not optically patterned, and therefore, upon extracting light, optical conditions of the conductive part 12A and of the insulating part 12B can be controlled to be closer to each other. |
