PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to prevent degradation of image quality.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a belt-like member; a current path formation member which is connected to a power source and forms a current path for forming a toner image between the member and a facing component located across the belt-like member; and determination means for determining the kind of the current path formation member on the basis of a result of detecting a current or a voltage applied to the current path formation member. On the basis of output time of the current or the voltage applied from the power source, multiple kinds of current path formation members having different properties are identified. |
