PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative braking system capable of giving an excellent braking feeling to a driver when an engine brake force is added to a braking force along with an increase in depression of a brake pedal with a braking force, which is a regenerative braking force, applied to a vehicle.SOLUTION: When a maneuver of an accelerator pedal 19 is released, a first clutch 4 is brought to a disengaged state and a motor generator 9 is brought to a generation mode. The motor generator 9 is allowed to generate a basically regenerative braking force equivalent to an estimated value of an engine brake force. When a brake pedal 25 is depressed, an additionally regenerative braking force that increases or decreases along with an increase or decrease in a brake pressure is applied. When the regenerative braking force reaches a maximum regenerative braking force and the brake pressure is augmented, the first clutch 4 is brought to an engaged state. A correctively regenerative braking force equivalent to the estimated value of the engine brake force is tentatively decreased from the maximum regenerative braking force and thereafter gradually returned to the maximum regenerative braking force. |
