The invention relates to a method for producing an image with embedded auxiliary data in an image area on a physical media. The method comprises the steps of
- determining an altering pattern of sub-sub-pixels to be revealed by altering the state of at least one photon-sensitive layers across the physical media for producing said image in said image area,
- modifying the location of the sub-sub-pixels to be revealed of at least some areas of non-uniform sub-pixels within the altering pattern according to a data coding pattern for embedding said auxiliary data,
- altering the state of at least one of the at least one photon-sensitive layers according to said modified altering pattern across the physical media thereby selectively revealing a selected subset of sub-sub-pixels. |
