<p>The invention relates to a braking system for a vehicle, which comprises a brake pedal; a pedal simulator generating a reaction force corresponding to a pedal force; a pedal position sensor generating corresponding signals by detecting the operating condition of the brake pedal; a booster doubling the pedal force of the brake pedal; a master cylinder generating hydraulic pressure by the operation of the booster; a hydraulic pressure control unit operated by the master cylinder; a wheel cylinder operated by the hydraulic pressure control unit; a reservoir storing brake hydraulic fluid; a hydraulic power unit including a cut valve controlling the provision of the brake hydraulic fluid between the reservoir and the pedal simulator, an apply valve providing the brake hydraulic fluid to the booster, and a release valve which selectively releases the brake hydraulic fluid of the booster; a switch unit for selecting a plurality of reaction modes; and a control unit which controls the hydraulic power unit by receiving output signals of the pedal position sensor and operates the cut valve by controlling the operating time of the cut valve based on the reaction mode delivered by the switch unit.</p> |
