A display device comprises: a display panel including multiple pixels which are respectively connected to multiple gate lines and multiple data lines; a gate driving unit to drive the gate lines; a data driving unit to drive data lines; a voltage generator to generate a first voltage and a second voltage which are required to operate the gate driving unit; and a timing controller to receive an image signal, provide the data driving unit with a data signal and multiple first control signals, and provide the gate driving unit with multiple second control signals, wherein the timing controller includes a voltage control signal generating unit to calculate a driving time of the display panel and provide the voltage generator with the first voltage control signals and the second voltage control signals which are to change a voltage level of at least either the first voltage or the second voltage when the driving time exceeds a reference time.
